Redmoon, in partnership with the City of Chicago and the Chicago Park District, created the Great Chicago Fire Festival; a free event to unite Chicago’s neighborhoods and celebrate Chicago’s grit, greatness and renewal following the fire of 1871.
Redmoon invited several artists to create the houses, barges, ladders and other pieces specifically designed for the event. James Brenner was commissioned 15 projection boats. These one of a kind pontoons projected videos and images of the work Redmoon realized during the summer bringing out its unique machinery and theatrical skill in an unprecedented city-wide conversation on overcoming and celebrating.
